Edge is Rhythm Dance Center's highest level performing company made up of distinguished dancers having outstanding technique, performance quality and style.

Edge represents Rhythm Dance Center at local and national talent competitions, conventions, and performances. These dancers have a focus and desire to fully commit themselves to the demands of Edge. We take great pride in our performing company and have high expectations of all members. We pride ourselves on training well-rounded, diverse dancers and provide our Edge members with opportunities not found at any other studio in Atlanta. We believe the relationships developed with faculty and peers through dance are unmatched by most sports and disciplines.

EDGE INVOLVES

• Choosing dance as a priority over all other extracurricular activities
• Attendance to 5 conventions/competitions and summer nationals
• Weekend rehearsals & weekday classes/rehearsals in all styles
• Opportunity to audition for solos, extra groups, and guest choreographers
• Classes & workshops with guest teachers/choreographers at Rhythm Dance Center  
• Tap the Map Workshop at Rhythm
• Potential additional in-house workshops as scheduled
• Attendance to Edge Summer Intensive  
• Attendance to National Rehearsals the week prior to The Dance Awards
• Attendance to Nationals Summer
• Participation in Holiday Show, Company Concert, and all Year-End Shows
• Ballet Summer Workshop: All Mini Edge dancers and all dancers new to Edge will be reqiored to attend a Ballet Workshop with Gabby Gambino

EDGE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

MINI EDGE (AVG AGE 7-10)

• Dancers will perform jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary and two production numbers at competitions and conventions
• Required to be at the studio a minimum of two days a week taking classes in jazz, ballet, tap, contemporary, hip hop and more.
• Weekend rehearsals (when scheduled) are mandatory
• 2023-2024 Year-End Show ballet costumes: approximately $115 per costume
• Guest teachers:  Approximately $25 - $40 per class  
• 2022-2023 Tuition: $380 per month
• 2022-2023 approximate minimum Performing Company costs: $3800 for convention, costume and competition fees for required routines  

JUNIOR EDGE (AVG AGE 11-12)

• Dancers will perform jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary and two production numbers at competitions and conventions
• Required to be at the studio minimum of three days per week taking classes in jazz, ballet, tap, contemporary, hip hop and more
• 2023-2024 Year-End costume: approximately $115 (ballet performed in Year-End Shows only)
• Guest teachers:  Approximately $25 - $40 per class
• 2022-2023 Tuition: $380 per month
• 2022-2023 approximate minimum company costs: $4800 for convention, costume and competition fees for required routines

TEEN EDGE (AVG. AGE 13-15)

SENIOR EDGE (AVG. AGE 16-18)

EDGE MONTHLY PAYMENTS

Minimum monthly payments for Edge will be approximately $300 - $375 per month to be paid on the 15th of each month June 2022 - March 2023. Your final balance will be due April 15, 2023. This is in addition to your tuition payments. These payments are for your required groups, conventions, costumes, etc. Additional deposits will be due for extra groups, solos, etc.
